<description>The client wanted this wine brand to be "minimal and clean- but not stale." This was accomplished by centering most content with the off-center "bc" lockup. The client also wanted the new identity to be easily changed to fit their 4 different wines. A color scheme was developed having a direct relationship with the color of the wine.

<description>I designed over 30 elements for the Advanced Auto Grinder event marketing tour. This tour followed the Monster Jam series around the country using a 40' goose neck trailer. Elements designed included the tow vehicle, trailer wrap, banners, A-Frame signs, decals, and more. Color scheme and font size/style was set by the client.

<description>I designed a small book for the site Stormpoo.com The site's purpose is to educate the general public on raw sewage being dumped into their rivers near public swimming areas. I was amazed when they told me after only 1/8" of rain- fecal matter is dumped into the surrounding rivers from storm drains. Below are some selected spreads from the book which can either be bought or downloaded from the site, stormpoo.com.

<description>The graduate students of Carnegie Mellon University approached me to design a poster for their upcoming musical. Each figure on the poster represented an act and was requested to be on the poster. The only other direction was the poster should look like a "a trapper-keeper notebook from the late 80's... with a homosexual feel."

So the type was brushed to represent the trapper-keeper look requested, and to satisfy the 'homosexual' look I changed the landscape to have a subtle butt shape.

<description>I was approached by a wine distributing company called Let's Wine to create the entire brand package for this wine. The juice was from a few regions of Spain, giving me no specific town or origin to pull visuals from. I then looked at Spain as a country for inspiration. The romantic culture and landscape stood out to me the most, so I ran with that.

The name I came up with, Besar, means "kiss"- a literal relationship to the Spanish romantic culture. The design
was drawn from the famous Spanish dance, the flamenco. In this dance women usually wear red dresses that flow organically as they move. There's several layers to these dresses, since I didn't want a bottle with simply a woman dancing on it, I used these layers as a design element. The layers also began to resemble Spain's landscape.

<description>I designed a new identity for the Bellevue Laser and Cosmetic Center. Owner Dr. Diane Chiu wanted the new identity to have a medical professional look with a spa feel. The brand needed to encompass how they focus on each individual's comfort and treatment, rather than the traditional 'take a number' clinic.

The below images show the identity package, brushed steel sign for the reception area, a lit water feature with logo cut in stone, and cut vinyl logo for the office door.

<description>Rossum's is a group of artists and robotics graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University. The logo represents an aerial view of the two groups meeting. Each solid circle represents either an art or robotics graduate student at a meeting represented by the larger circle. The legs of the R represent these two different disciplines.

Rossum's main focus was to educate and inspire the public to create their own robotic art. This is represented with the pattern, showing the spin-off ripple effect of creativity.

<description>This card was designed for Diane and Katti's 40th birthday party. It was a black tie event, so it needed to have a classy feel but with a fun flair- as they were to have '80's dance music after the dinner.

The card was letterpressed using 3 colors: magenta, black, and light silver (the silver ink was partially mixed with a spot varnish). Everyone was pleased with the results.

<description>This Valentine's Day card was designed for Natala Menezes. The only design parameter she set was that the card had
to have birds on the front.

The idea of increasing the impression of the red hearts extra hard allowed them to show through from the back of the card to the inside. The result was blind embossed hearts where you sign your name.
